Region of Waterloo International Airport is an international airport about 1 hour west of Toronto and is the 14th busiest airport in Canada by aircraft movements with 118,541 aircraft movements in 2018. It is served by airlines such as WestJet, Sunwing, and in the near future Flair Airlines who all operate Boeing 737 sized aircraft into the airport. Non stop commerical flights from Waterloo include destinations such as Calgary, Vancouver, Cancun, Halifax and many more. In addition to commercial traffic, CYKF is a popular general aviation airport and is home to the second largest flight training centre in Canada, Waterloo Welling Flight Centre, as well as a couple dozen privately owned hangars.
